106 in the ENABLE list we use. The official Scrabble dictionaries differ a little: the North American list and Collins (used in most other countries) each add a few more.
What 2-letter words have a Q, Z, X or J?
Q: QI. Z: ZA. X: AX, EX, OX, XI and XU. J: JO. They're the most valuable short plays in Scrabble.
Are there 2-letter words without vowels?
Yes, if Y doesn't count as a vowel: BY, HM, MM, MY and SH. And AA, AE, AI, OE and OI are made of vowels only, which helps when your rack has too many.
Are OK and EW valid in Scrabble?
Yes. Both were added to the official North American Scrabble dictionary in 2018.
